The UNCUT management team has two things in common – a love for music and a desire to help kids flourish. Together we have a wealth of experience and knowledge ranging from Marketing, TV Production, Radio, Event management, Record label management, project management, PR and even Medical! In the end though, at their core we are all entrepreneurs with a passion for music and people.
We are all volunteers so finding the right people to support our mission is important. In the coming months we will need to fill a variety of positions ranging from program management to graphic design to marketing to event management and more – but we will also need a flexible but robust street team.

As the Executive Producer and founder of local tv show PDX Spotlight, Mike has spent the last several years learning about the Portland music scene and getting to know as many of the amazing musicians as possible. As PDX Spotlight has evolved, Mike and his team have noticed not only the breadth of young local talent but also the need to foster the local scene through our youth. Creating UNCUT is the natural next step in Mike’s quest to maintain a vibrant music community in Portland.
Prior to PDX Spotlight and UNCUT, Mike worked in the world of corporate marketing developing campaigns for companies like HP, Walmart, Staples, Disney and FedEx. He is a native Oregonian and still lives in Portland with his wife, daughter, dog and cat.
In addition to founding and operating Olea Records, Tom is one of the managing partners of NW Extremity Specialists (NES), the largest single specialty foot and ankle medical clinic in the region. Tom has translated his business acumen from NES to the music industry over the last 8 years, working with local talent, One From Many, and LA singer-songwriter Alexis Keegan. Tom started the NorthWest Music Experience as a means to connect local artists with student musicians in the area, in order to foster music education and develop performance skills. Some of Tom’s most-rewarding work has been with NW Music Experience and he is excited to be working with the Uncut Project to help further the local music community.
Crystal Lariza is a singer songwriter at her core. She has been performing around the Pacific Northwest for over 10 years. Always challenging and transforming herself and sound, she has been involved in many projects including The Lariza Sisters, Cooper and The Jam, Shiny Stone, and her current band CORNER.
A Portland native, Crystal started out her career singing with her sister, Angela in high school. From humble beginnings playing county fairs back in the day when their mother “acted as manager and would cart us around from show to show” they have evolved to play with a full band and have graced the stages from Portland’s Star Theatre to Seattle’s Hempfest, forming relationships with non profits like Portland Boys and Girls Club and KGWs Toy Drive. Crystal is a true example of the how music can positively shape a young persons future.
Spending the last decade writing, recording, and performing she is excited to take on the role Director of Community Outreach, where she can use her creativity energy and industry savvy to inspire the next generations of new musicians.
By day, she leads the organization she created, #WomenCrush – which helps rising female artists connect with industry & collaborators by hosting showcases, offering workshops & more. By night she’s a singer/songwriter & event host. She started her music career in NYC where she grew up & went to school but it wasn’t until moving to Portland in 2015 that she started her real mission: writing songs for other artists & helping them advance in their career. By joining the Uncut team as their PR Director, she hopes to continue this mission by reaching the people who will one day run the industry in giving them a chance to shine & expand their knowledge about what she is most passionate about: the music business. When she’s not trying to be the next Sia or out networking somewhere, she’s embracing her inner foodie, playing with her chiweenie puppy Henry or making travel plans with her hubby-to be. Suzanne Hendrix is a Marketing Director, Producer and Video Editor with over 20 years experience in the field. She has worked hands-on creatively and has a record of success with big names like Anheuser-Busch, Burger King, ESPN Deportes, Domino’s, Huggies, History Channel, LIVESTRONG Foundation, Marshalls, Lowe’s, Hyundai, Wrigley, Starburst and many others. Currently she is a Marketing Director for three companies, does web development, design and video production on a freelance basis and manages the folk-rock band Kaiya On The Mountain. When asked what is important to her, Suzanne responded with, “I want to contribute, remain passionate and create things that make a difference and move people. I want to be someone who doesn’t just have ideas, but someone who is an innovator, a doer and a source of inspiration for others.”
